Fileteado

Filete porteño is not ment to be a Schnitzel from Buenos Aires but indicates the typical decorative painting, which as well as tango and lunfardo is connected to the cultur of the immigrants in Argentina at the end of the 19th century. This special form of art fileteado came to life in a bodywork located in Paseo Colon in ornamental paintings of carts. These decorations passed via lorries and busses to a lot of every day articles and influence still the artistically face of Buenos Aires.

The following links shall give an impulse to search the web for the Argentine culture, which consists not only of tango and steaks ;-)
